Business process automation for Christchurch businesses.

That means getting software to do the repetitive jobs your team does by hand, like typing the same order into three systems or chasing invoices. I find the one worth the most to hand over, build a tool that does it, usually using AI, and measure how much time and money it saves.

The same few jobs, done over and over.

Retyping

  • The same order typed into three systems.
  • Reports pulled together by hand at the end of every month.

Chasing

  • Invoices waiting weeks for someone to get to the sign-off.

Checking

  • Quotes built on labour rates from three years ago.

Approving

  • Every approval, however small, landing on one person's desk.
  • Knowledge that lives in one person's head, so nothing runs when they're away.

Worked out in dollars.

I go through your own numbers and work out what each repetitive job costs you, using what you pay your staff. The one worth the most gets handed to software first.

For a 40-person business

$28,000 a year

That's around 1% of what it pays its staff.

Work out what 1% is worth to you

One piece of work, ninety days.

  1. Days 1–14

    Find

I look at your numbers, your calendar and how your team spends its day.

You get: a four-page report showing where your team's time and money go, with a dollar figure on each.

  2. Days 15–21

    Pick

You and your managers pick one.

You get: a signed one-page plan: the job, the number we'll track, and how quickly it pays for itself.

  3. Days 22–45

    Build

I build it with your team, on your data.

You get: a working tool in your team's hands.

  4. Days 46–75

    Measure

Your team uses it for thirty days.

You get: the number we're tracking, measured the same way as on day one.

  5. Days 76–90

    Hand over

Your team runs it without me.

You get: someone on your team who looks after it, a one-page how-to and the result in writing.

Most of what I build uses AI, or gets software to do a repetitive job on its own. Each one comes with a simple AI policy, a check of the data going into it, and what the Privacy Act means for the tools your team uses.

Common questions

What is business process automation?

Getting software to do the repetitive jobs people currently do by hand, like typing the same details into more than one system, chasing approvals, sending invoices and building reports, so your team spends that time on the work that matters.

How long does it take?

It's a 90-day project: two weeks going through your numbers, a week to pick the one job, about three weeks to build it, thirty days of your team using it, then I hand it over.

How much does it cost?

The first three weeks are $7,500 + GST. You get a short report showing where your team's time and money go, with a dollar figure on each, and a signed one-page plan showing how quickly it pays for itself. The build is quoted after that. Most full 90-day projects start from $22,500 + GST.

Do we have to change our software?

Not usually. Where I can, the new tool works with the systems you already use.

Give me a ring.

There's nothing to fill in first. Email or ring, whatever's easiest. If I can help, I'll tell you straight. If I can't, I'll usually know who can.
